The inspiration for this particular piece of work came from a past creation. By using a viewfinder we took one part of an artwork and made into a bigger picture. While creation this, my group members and we had to develop a way to work shape, texture and especially value. Our main problem when creating this was finding a way to make our composition flow nicely. We solved this by using a monochrome color scheme, overrunning lines, and a splatter effect to, in a way, tie everything together. Close observation was important in the creation of this artwork because while it was abstract, we also wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing. We solved this problem by constantly turning the canvas and stepping back from it. If I were to change anything I would use the stamps and textures vertically and horizontally to create different line structures. In conclusion, I'm extremely pleased with the way that it turned out and how it was developed.
