Q: What was your most successful print? Describe the process and why this printing technique was successful for you. A: In my opinion, screen printing worked best for me. I drew my geometric design in a way that would result in clean cut lines. After choosing colors I believed went well together and even contrasted in a way, I scraped them on and the image transferred onto paper Q: Do over - what was a print you would change if you could? Describe the process and your print, including what you didn’t like about the final print, then explain what you could have done differently to improve the final print. A: I wish I could do the monoprints over again. I would have rather had more time to plan a more intricate pattern or scene, then to come up with one quickly and messily the lines are not as defined as I would have liked them to be. I do however enjoy the ombre effect combined with my choice in color scheme. Q: What is a printing technique that you enjoyed working with this most? Describe the printing process and why you liked it.
A: My favorite printing technique was the collagraphs. All though I once again did not have much time do make a plan, I quickly came up with another geometric design. The various parallel lines mixed with the contrasting organic leaf shapes looked well together. After seeing others using a descending tone color scheme I really wanted to try it out and in the end it worked out quite nicely.
